DID YOU KNOW? Anukis Worshipped at Elephantine

Anukis was the goddess of the productive inundation along the Nile. Her cult centered at the Egyptian frontier near the First Cataract of the Nile, at Elephantine Island. She wore a headdress of ostrich-plumes and was associated with the gods Khnum, Satis, and the Osirian deity Nephthys. Her sacred animal was the dorcas gazelle.
